La antigua parroquia de Cala Ratjada fue construida en el año 1950 y desde entonces se ha unido a la ruta cultural del municipio, recibiendo fieles católicos residentes y cientos de turistas que son atraídos por una arquitectura de alto valor patrimonial.
Su pintoresca construcción parece inspirada en una obra de arte, más aún luego de la refacción de sus vitrales que ilustran temas de evocación de la fe y provocan un efecto lumínico espiritual único y colorido cuando el sol comienza a asomar.
Cada 16 de julio, la parroquia celebra el Día Grande de la Patrona con una procesión marinera acompañada por música y fuegos artificiales. Jährlich am 16. Juli feiert die Gemeinde den großen Tag der Schutzpatronin der Fischer mit einer Prozession ans Meer, die mit Musik und Feuerwerk begleitet wird. Every July 16th, the parish celebrates the Patron’s Great Day with a sailor procession accompanied by music and fireworks. In this cult of the Virgen of Carmen, its faithful give a floral offering surrounded by a festive atmosphere that transcends every corner of the town.
