Durante la tercera semana de mayo, un gran mercado medieval invade el castillo y sus alrededores para celebrar cada nuevo aniversario de la fundación de Capdepera por parte del Rey Jaume II en el siglo XIV.

El clima de alegría es contagioso y todo el pueblo participa de un festejo masivo que retrocede en el tiempo para revivir la vida y los principales oficios de aquellos habitantes de la isla.

Por esos días, el municipio se convierte en una auténtica fortaleza de la Edad Media repleta de artesanos, herreros, carpinteros, malabaristas, bufones, magos y todo tipo de personajes caracterizados en la época, el pueblo se viste con trajes típicos y las calles de engalanan de cintas de colores.

En torno al castillo amurallado, se instalan puestos de comida típica, exposiciones, juegos tradicionales y escenarios de música que convierten a la feria en una de las más atractivas de Mallorca.

In der dritten Maiwoche findet ein großer mittelalterlicher Markt auf der Burg und in den Straßen von Capdepera statt, um jedes Jahr den neuen Jahrestag der Gründung von Capdepera durch König Jaume II im 14. Jahrhundert zu feiern. Die Atmosphäre der Freude ist ansteckend und die ganze Stadt nimmt an einer massiven Feier teil, die in die Zeit zurückkehrt, um das frühere Leben der Bewohner der Insel und ihre wichtigsten Berufe wieder zum Leben zu erwecken.

In diesen Tagen wird die Gemeinde zu einer authentischen mittelalterlichen Festung voller Handwerker, Schmiede, Zimmerleute, Jongleure, Narren, Zauberer und allen möglichen Charakteren dieser Zeit. Die Stadt ist in traditionellen Trachten gekleidet und die Straßen sind mit bunten Bändern geschmückt. Rund um die ummauerte Burg sind Stände mit typischen Speisen, Ausstellungen, traditionellen Spielen und Musikbühnen angebracht, was den Markt zu einem der attraktivsten Mallorcas macht.

During the third week of May, a large medieval market takes place in the castle and its surroundings to celebrate each new anniversary of the founding of Capdepera by King Jaume II in the 14th century. The atmosphere of joy is contagious and the whole town participates in a massive celebration that goes back in time to revive how those inhabitants of the island lived and their main trades.

In those days, the municipality becomes an authentic Middle Ages fortress full of artisans, blacksmiths, carpenters, jugglers, jesters, magicians and all kinds of characters of that time, the town is dressed in traditional costumes and the streets are decorated with colored ribbons.

Around the walled castle, stalls of typical food, exhibitions, traditional games and music stages are installed, turning the fair into one of the most attractive in Mallorca.
