The culinary talent of the region

An exclusive culinary pro posal is the objective of three novel undertakings – which have disembarked in Cala Ratjada in pursuit of conquering new palates of the world with that “special touch” of typical regional dishes. “I always loved the culinary world”, says Hartmut Hohn, a culinary business man.

“Since I am 10, I helped at the bars where my dad worked and there I discovered my vocation. Over the years, with my brother, we decided to start a gastronomic business in Germany but finally I ended up in Majorca, seduced by the beauty and peace of the island”. This is the story of the founder of the most renowned Majorcan restaurants: La Bodeguita, Llagost and The GreenBox, they definitely know how to combine innovation and creativity, seducing the local market with unique and specialized proposals.

La Bodeguita, situated on the Cala Ratjada’s Paseo Marítimo, is the favorite one for residents and tourists, it enjoys great views of the sea and “typical dishes based on the elaboration of different meats from farms of the island”, its founder told us. “Tapas” are another specialty of the restaurant, and this success led to the creation of Llagost, an establishment with more than 50 varieties of tapas, a really innovative proposal for the region.

But, according to Hartmut Hohn, “an unprecedented project has recently born increasing its success day after day”.

He refers to The Greenbox, a restaurant which invites to enjoy a vegetarian and vegan option with excellent products. This is part of the current veggie tendency and features a varied menu with classic and exotic dishes, designed for those who choose a healthier lifestyle.
